The U.S. Department of State Honors SI Group’s Vice Chairwoman, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hà, with the Outstanding Contribution Award
In recognition of her significant contributions to advancing the signing of the Vietnam–U.S. Bilateral Trade Agreement in 2000, which delivered positive outcomes for trade relations between the two countries, Deputy Secretary of State Grant Green presented the “2002 Foreign Service National of the Year Award” to Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hà, currently Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of SI Group.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hà photographed receiving the Outstanding Contribution Award alongside U.S. Department of State Representative, Deputy Secretary Grant Green, at the Recognition Ceremony in the United States.
This prestigious award, conferred by the U.S. Department of State, honors outstanding individuals who have made exceptional contributions to strengthening diplomatic and trade relations between the United States and countries around the world, including Vietnam. Key contributions recognized include promoting investment, and facilitating the import and export of goods and services, which played an important role in enhancing bilateral diplomatic and commercial ties between Vietnam and the United States.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hà is the first representative from Southeast Asia to be honored in the field of economics, distinguishing herself from other regional awardees, who were mostly recognized for contributions in political, security, or traditional diplomatic fields.
The “2002 Foreign Service National of the Year Award” recognizing outstanding contributions was presented to Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hà.
Reflecting on the moment she received the Outstanding Contribution Award from the U.S. Department of State representative, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hà shared her pride and emotion:
“I am extremely proud to be the first Vietnamese national to receive this prestigious award. What made the moment even more special was receiving a congratulatory call from the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam — an unforgettable memory.”
The recognition of SI Group’s Vice Chairwoman by the U.S. Department of State not only affirms Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Hà’s personal achievements, but also stands as a clear testament to the strong foundation and core values upon which SI Group was built — shaped by individuals with far-reaching influence and meaningful contributions to international business and investment cooperation.
These enduring values have been, and continue to be, a powerful catalyst behind SI Group’s growth, reputation, and global standing today.
