REQUIREMENTS
Applicants
- Age: From above 21 years old
- Meet all health requirements
- No criminal records
Have a minimum individual and business net worth
- Have a minimum individual and business net worth of CAD 600,000 if the business is located in Halifax Regional Municipality; or
- Have a minimum individual and business net worth of CAD 400,000 if the business is located outside of Halifax Regional Municipality
Experience
In recent 10 years, an applicant needs:
- At least 3 years of owning a business experience (holding a minimum company’s equity of 33.3%); or
- 5 years as a senior manager
Investment
- At least CAD 150,000 to set up a business or buy an available business in Halifax Regional Municipality
- At least CAD 100,000 to set up a business or buy an available business outside of Halifax Regional Municipality
Foreign language
CLB 5 (English) or NCLC 5 (French)
Educational qualifications
A minimum of a Canadian high school diploma or equivalent outside of Canada
PROCEDURE

Apply online
Sign an investment commitment agreement - Receive a confirmation of approval from the province
Apply for a work permit
Be issued a work permit (valid for 2 years) and come to Canada to materialize the business plan
Submit a business report
Get a Canadian Permanent Residence Card
