888 VISA

1. Annual business turnover: AUD 300,000 in the 12 months immediately before applying for this visa

2. Own and manage a business in Australia that has at least:

• 51% of the total value if business turnover is under AUD 400,000 per year
• 30% of the total value if business turnover is from AUD 400,000 per year
• 10% of the total value if the business is operated by a publicly listed company

3. Be issued an Australian Business Number for the own business.

4. Submit a 2-year business activity report immediately before applying for this visa 

5. In 12 months immediately before applying for this visa, applicants need to meet at least 2 of the following criteria:

• Net value assets in Australia are at least AUD 200,000 in your main business 
• Personal and business assets in Australia are at least AUD 600,000  
• Employ at least 2 full-time workers (not relatives) 

For applicants who are issued the 188A visa after July 2021 

• Be physically present in Australia for at least 24 months cumulatively
• Maintain the designated business for at least 5 years

1. Invest at least AUD 5,000,000 in 5 years in the following proportions:

• At least AUD 1,000,000 in venture capital and growth private equity funds that invest in start-ups and small private companies
• At least AUD 1,500,000 in approved managed funds, that invest in emerging companies on the Australian Stock Exchange
• At least AUD 2,500,000 in balancing investment funds, that invest in a range of assets, including companies listed on the ASX, Australian corporate bonds or annuities and commercial real estate.

3. The applicant must be physically present in Australia at least 40 days per year or their spouse must live in Australia at least 180 days per year while holding the 188C visa (temporary visa)
